Apostolis Demertzis

I was born in 1977 and grew up in Ioannina, northwestern Greece, where I currently live. I had my first mountain experience in the Alps in 1993 (Germany and Austria). Very quickly climbing and mountaineering turned into my passion: I’ve been an active member of the Alpine Club of Ioannina and of the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing since 1996. I studied Mechanical Engineering and have extensive experience in field research and trail recording. I have recorded over 19.000Km of trails all over Greece for the most important Topo Maps companies. In 2009, I became both a Certified Greek Tour Leader and a Certified Mountain Leader (UIMLA). More recently, in 2017, I became a Certified Greek Bicycle Tour Leader. Let me take you hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing around the Greek mountains!
