We are the only locally owned guiding service in Crested Butte, Colorado. Owned and operated by Ben and Janae Pritchett since 2006, the team at Colorado Backcountry is made up of exceptional guides with extensive experience in the mountains around Crested Butte.

We specialize in private, tailor-made trips. We adapt our goals to your needs and expectations and can provide anything from scenic family tours, to intensive skills clinics to adventure-filled day and multi-day trips.
