Franc Pepevnik

I am an IFMGA Mountain guide and a member of the Mountain Rescue Association of Slovenia for over 30 years. My fascination in mountaineering started when I was 16 years old. Despite what I am now, when I was 16 I had all the normal emotions like fear, clumsiness, indecisiveness, and excitement… but I also had a strong desire to overcome these emotions and strived to challenge myself. My persistence in overcoming these obstacles eventually took me to the roof of the world - Mount Everest - and some other 8000m+ peaks followed soon after.

I recognize that my achievements were due to my true love and passion for the mountains, for my friends and a sense of responsibility towards other people.

I want to share with you my experience and the beauty of the life path I have taken through the mountains.
