Gavin Bate

I have been organising and leading treks and high altitude climbs since the 1990s and my company has won the world responsible tourism awards twice. I have always enjoyed working with people and teaching them the skills to enjoy and adapt to life in the mountains, and of course I have a passion for the wild places. I have made six expeditions to Mount Everest and have led 22 high altitude expeditions in the Greater Ranges, plus I have guided trips to the Arctic including the magnetic north pole. I am available for expedition organisation and management and also leadership, but I also have a lot of experience working with film crews and as a safety officer for large projects. I have my own local staff based in five different countries but I am also happy to work with someone on bespoke adventures.
