About Joan Jover I García
UIAGM/IFMGA guide from Catalunya. I was born in 1959, and following a family tradition, I started practicing mountain sports. After a period of learning (in the mountains of Catalunya and the Pyrenees), the influence of the alpine literature drove me to high mountains and the Alps, where I climbed some of the most well-known peaks. Following that, I continued my mountaineering career with winter expeditions, expeditions outside Europe, and adventures on my own. This passion made me decide to become a mountain guide, and I am fully dedicated to this profession all year long. Other interests I have are photography, writing and teaching.
