About Jordi Tosas

**UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide based in the Pyrenees** I grew up by the seaside, but since the age of 9 I started going to the mountains. And since then, I never stopped. I learned about freedom from philosophy, physics and maths, and then the mountains showed it to me. I get new knowledge from forming new guides, studying mountain medicine, and training body and mind. But going to the mountains give me the reflexes. From top level climbing, alpine style 8000s peaks, skiing and snowboarding, opening routes from the Arctic to the Antarctic, passing through the Himalayas and climbing in the desert and the jungle, from the Patagonian Ice to Vietnam: The important thing is not where you get, the important thing is to go. I’m based in Benasque, in the Pyrenees, but consider myself a nomad. I just expect the rain or the sun rising every morning to celebrate nature’s cycle, and continue living as part of it.
