About Leslie Ayres
I was born in England. Right after I acquired my IFGMA certificate, I moved to Norway to work on my two main passions: ice climbing and mountain guiding. I have been guiding groups around these mountains for the past 30 years. My geographical areas of expertise are Hemsedal and Valdres, here in Norway. I have translated the Norwegian guidebook Klatrefører Hemsedal, which describes several climbing routes, to English. I particularly enjoy taking my guests for courses on ice climbing, rock climbing and mountain guiding, and ski touring programmes.
