Santiago Quintero Sylva

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the mountains. As a young boy in Quito, I dreamed of climbing to the top of the peaks I could see outside the window. I was mesmerized by a photo of a man standing atop the mighty K2 in a magazine I found at my grandmother's house, and I knew I too would stand there one day.

As I grew older, my passion for the mountains only intensified. I knew what I was meant to do.

Through the ups and downs of life, this passion for climbing mountains has always remained strong and steady. I have dedicated the last 21 years of my life to doing what I love each and every day.
