Silvan Stadler

I was born in Urner, Switzerland. Ever since I started walking, the mountains have been my home. I started with simple hikes, only to soon get introduced to high tours. During the winter, as a teenager, I started ski touring. Later, I discovered my passion for rock and ice climbing. Now, the mountain has become my workplace. Also, there is not much more one could ask from a job: unique views, unspoiled nature, new challenges every day.

Every day, the mountain keeps pulling me into it. Nature, calm, wind, cold, snow, rock, loneliness, unique views... Everything about it attracts me, inspiring perseverance and honesty.

I believe patience is one of the most important qualities to have up in the mountains. Of course, fun is important too. As a guide, I describe myself as serious and positive during the day, and sociable in the evening, once the program is complete. I look forward to having you on one of my tours in the near future!
